Not only is green tea matcha powder an amazing color but it tastes so good as a matcha green tea latte or as a cupcake. Matcha green tea powder is steamed and ground to a very fine and silky powder. A little goes a long way. You can check your nearby Asian market. It needs to be pure, no sugar added.
My RECIPE: [12 cupcakes] - 1 cup plain hemp milk - 3-4 teaspoons matcha powder - 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon almond extract - 1/3 cup canola oil (or try macadamia nut oil) - 1/2 cup raw agave - 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon baking powder - 1/4 teaspoon baking soda - 1 1/4 organic sprouted spelt flour - 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees ////// Bake 20 minutes
Garnish with agave, ginger, matcha powder, and a piece of candied ginger
