Indraloka Animal Sanctuary

Indraloka Animal Sanctuary
is located in Mehoopany, Pennsylvania. "Indraloka is a Sanskrit word meaning 'God's Heaven'. Our guiding principle is that all life is sacred, and we are all related ('the ones that walk, the ones that crawl, the ones that fly, and the ones that swim')."

Indra Lahiri, PhD, founded the sanctuary based on the principle that all life is sacred.

She began by taking in unwanted and/or abused animals and soon realized that as an individual she couldn't keep up with the overwhelming need.

Indraloka Animal Sanctuary provides animals in desperate need with lifetime safe sanctuary, including love, compassion, gentle care, and dignity.

Indraloka Animal Sanctuary, Inc. takes in abused, neglected, and abandoned animals of every species, both large and small.

They focus on those with severe medical or behavioral issues that would otherwise be considered un-adoptable, providing veterinary care, retraining, and nurturing to bring each animal back to health, and then providing them home here at the sanctuary for the rest of their natural lives.
