MINTED WALL ART | Mineral 02 limited edition print by Lily Hanna

I love this Minted wall art Mineral 02 print by Lily Hanna. Such a great Mystic Mama vibe and all that celestial artisitcly designed poetry we all love these days in prints, cards, tees and more. It is featured here in the distressed Indigo frame and photographed in front of our barn here in upstate New York. Also shown is a wall feature on Minted with eh Mineral print by Mallory seen here on Minted.

"This piece is part of a set of three watercolor paintings, Mineral 01, 02, and 03, which were inspired by the colors and beauty of mineral and rock formations. It is amazing to see the bold colors and patterns that nature has created, and I wanted to capture some of that beauty on paper."

INK+WIT BRAND DESIGN: Elizabeth Lawson Design

I had the pleasure to work with the lovely and very talented interior design, Elizabeth Lawson, located in Baltimore, MD. Elizabeth has a soft Boho chic style that would rock anyone's space. I love her use of texture and and color palette.

For Elizabeth's brand ID (or logo) we stayed very simple but ultra elegant with three ligatures elongated for a very sleek and slightly geometric look. The font is class Century Gothic. The stationery suite followed the classic sleek look of the ID in the colors nude blush, charcoal gray, taupe gray and white. I love the Boho pattern created for the backside of the business card letterpress printed by the amazing and dear Spark Letterpess. The neutral soft colors are warming and welcoming but pop with the charcoal gray. Just enough contrast and we love the blush metallic envelope with letterpress texture.

Please visit Elizabeth's site and wonderful blog which INK+WIT designed here!

INK+WIT CUSTOM BABY ANNOUNCEMENTS

I have some real serious catching up to do regarding posting new work on the site and blog. I have been pregnant 2X in one year so life has flown by. Baby number 2 due in 4months! Still going strong here with design but getting so much of the new work for baby, wedding, and brand design on the site and blog has fallen behind. Little by little I am trying to catch up on it starting now. Basically, the only thing I missed in the last year was the National Stationery Show. Nope, I have not slowed down here, lol.

Featured above is the Blissful bear design we used for our first son's birth announcements (printed by Boxcar Press.) One color, black, on lettra fluorescent white 110lb super soft cotton paper. My husband's last name is Button so how could I resist making a round circle picture card in the shape of a circle with a button on the backside. Kraft envelopes with washi tape sealed the deal.

If you are interested in readymade or custom birth announcements please email me at info@inkandwit.com / pics here

This design makes me very happy!

INK+WIT 2103 calendar sneak peek

It is that time again... another calendar design. This one almost did not happen. Then, I realized that I just had to make one again. The calendar customers have been so excited and dedicated to this calendar series every year it gave me the motivation to get it done even though my 8 month old son has kept me up every night. Hence, no sleep equals very little concentration time to create a very detailed calendar.

While I have not visited every place in the calendar I hope to someday. I think of these places as major energy centers, or a vortex. I remember when I visited Iceland, Joshua Tree and Govardhan Hill, there was a charge in the air, in the ground. I felt really good. I have not been the Machu Picchu, the Pyramids, Sakura, and while I have been to Iceland I have not yet seen the Northern Lights.

This calendar theme was inspired by Saraswati Om. We were having a conversation about how I could illustrate Sacred Places. My personal journey with these places near and far resonated with the simple but complex word, Vortex.

This calendar is on press as we speak by the lovely couple at Pistachio Press, Rachael and Jake. I will be posting the final letterpress version on or near 11/12. They will be ready to ship on or near 11/20. cost: $48 plus Priority Mail Flat Rate shipping of $5.50.

If you would like to reserve one as there is only a limited edition of 125, please email info@inkandwit.com

Thank you and cheers!

INK+WIT BRAND DESIGN: Love Nature NYC

,,,,,,,
I love working with my client, Love Nature NYC. Jared Gettinger, the founder, is an amazing being and artisan candle, soap, and lotion maker among other trades. Love Nature NYC has been growing strong the last few years but this summer Jared debuted his beautiful and sweet smelling line at NYIGF in NYC.

Some of the recent products are the new candle line, Transcentdence, which I had the opportunity to name and design. My favorite scent is Peace Pipe. It has a warm smoky sweet scent. And, the new scent for the Inspired by Nature line contains my fave, Vanilla Fig!

Check out the new Hand and Body Wash as well. They look amazing on the bathroom or kitchen sink countertops. It is nice to love all the products around you and THE packaging.
